St. PAUL'S BAY BADEN POWELL SEA SCOUTS

St.Paul’s Bay Baden Powell Sea Scouts was founded in October 2015, following the initiative of Mr. Mario Cardona, (at the time was a Scouter)

The Scout Group meets every Wednesday at St Paul Local Council, with the courtesy of the current Mayor . Meetings commence at 18:30hrs and close off at 20:00hrs. The group accepts Scouts of all ages and welcomes different denominations.

Meaning of the Scarf Colors

The Group’s scarf is based on the colour blue which is considered to represent trust, peace, order and loyalty. Very significant fundamental aspects of traditional scouting. The scarf light blue represents the blue colour on the Coat of Arms of the Locality.

The Roman galley represents the shipwreck by Apostle Paul in 60 AD on his way to Rome to be tried as a rebel. St Paul’s Bay according to tradition is the place were the ship was stranded on rocks during the storm. 248 passengers swam to the shore where. the Maltese tended to the survivors with a lot of kindness.
